This course provides employees with preventative and
alternative actions to take with potentially violent situations. AIT
provides demonstrations of some sanctioned physical intervention
techniques. Additionally, participants will gain knowledge of Rule 40’s
definitions for exempted, prohibited, and controlled procedures and also
understand Emergency Use of Controlled Procedures (EUCP).
This course meets the 245B training requirement on aversive and deprivation procedures and Rule 40.

A Year in the Life of a Designated Coordinator
